Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Freight Broker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in carrier sales, load booking, and relationship management, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and shippers.
Negotiate freight rates and contracts to ensure profitability.
Manage daily load boards and ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
Track shipments, communicate updates, and resolve logistics challenges.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain compliance with FMCSA and company safety standards.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a freight broker, carrier sales representative, or related logistics role.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency with TMS software (Alvys preferred) and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.).
Proven ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
Veterans, disabled veterans, and military spouses preferred (not required).
